KURTA SETS

Anamika Aggarwal studied fashion design at NIFD, but life took her on a different path. For 25 years, she was a full-time homemaker — raising a family, building a home, and putting everyone else first. But her love for design never left her. And after 25 years, she decided to follow her heart again.
That’s how Kun the Label was born — a brand built from quiet strength, deep passion, and a belief that it’s never too late to start something meaningful.
Kun brings together everything Anamika loves — beautiful fabrics, thoughtful details, and the idea that fashion can be both rooted and fresh.

CLIENT DIARIES

Kun The Label is an Indian menswear label making designer ethnic wear for men — kurta sets, kurta pyjama sets, kurta jacket sets, sherwani sets, short kurta sets and indo-western outfits for men. The range spans 200+ styles priced between ₹4,995 and ₹16,995, cut in sizes S/36 through 3XL/46, available ready to ship and made to order.

The label sits between mass-market ethnic wear and made-to-order couture: designer detailing, contemporary cuts and hand-worked embroidery, available without a six-week production cycle. Every piece is designed for occasion wear — weddings, sangeet, mehendi, haldi, reception, engagement, Diwali, Eid and family functions. Garments are designed and produced in our own unit in Surat.

Shop Men's Ethnic Wear by Category

Kurta Sets for Men — full-length kurtas paired with matching bottoms, in weaves, prints and hand embroidery. Suited to sangeet, reception, Diwali and daytime functions.

Kurta Patiyala Sets for Men — kurtas paired with patiala salwar, cut with the traditional draped volume through the leg. Available in velvet brasso, golden weave and embroidered finishes.

Kurta Sets with Dupatta for Men — three-piece sets including a matching dupatta or stole—the most formal option short of a sherwani, suited to weddings, receptions and groomsmen dressing.

Short Kurta Sets for Men — shorter kurta lengths with a sharper, more contemporary line. Works for cocktail functions, mehendi, sangeet and festive evenings where a full-length kurta reads too traditional.

Kurta Jacket Sets for Men — kurta with a layered jacket or bundi. The most structured silhouette in the range, suited to weddings, receptions and cooler-weather functions.

Sherwani Sets for Men — full sherwani ensembles for grooms, brothers of the groom and wedding-party dressing.

Indo-Western Outfits for Men — fusion silhouettes that combine ethnic construction with contemporary tailoring for cocktail and reception dressing.

Design Techniques and Craft

Golden weave — a fine metallic thread carried through the base fabric during weaving, so the sheen sits within the cloth rather than printed on top. Reads formal under evening light without the weight of heavy embroidery. Available across grey, ice blue, mehendi green and other tonal shades.

Hand embroidery — thread, resham and zari work across chest panels, necklines and hems.

Kashmiri embroidery — dense floral needlework in a traditional Kashmiri register, worked in tonal or contrast thread.

Makesh and Lakhnavi work — fine chikankari-style shadow work in the Lucknow tradition, lighter on the hand than surface embroidery.

Velvet brasso — a motif burnt into the velvet pile leaving a raised pattern against a sheer ground. Strongest in black, wine and purple.

Mirror work — hand-set mirrors combined with thread outlining, worked across chest panels, necklines and hems.

Bead and sequin work — surface embellishment in glass beads and sequins for evening and reception dressing.

Foil work — metallic foil applied to the fabric surface for a flat, high-shine finish.

Jaipuri and floral prints — traditional Jaipuri block-style motifs and contemporary florals, printed on tussar and ghicha silk blends.

Ombre and crush finishes — graded colour across the garment or dupatta, often paired with a crush-finish dupatta.

Fabrics

Tussar and ghicha silk blends — an irregular slub texture with a matte sheen. Structured enough to hold a clean line, breathable enough for daytime functions.

Velvet — used in brasso and lycra-blend velvets for evening and winter wedding dressing.

Woven metallic blends — the base cloth for the golden weave and silver weave range.

Net & Crochet Kurta for Men — open-structure fabrics used in the ivory range for layered, contemporary silhouettes.

Mehendi outfits for men — mehendi green, pastel and printed kurta sets for long daytime functions.

Sangeet and cocktail outfits for men — evening dressing in embroidery, sequin, bead work and velvet brasso. Also the right register for a Sufi or qawwali night.

Fit and Sizing

KUN sizes run S/36 through 3XL/46, measured across the chest. The full range is graded and cut at every size, including 2XL/44 and 3XL/46, rather than scaled up from a smaller base pattern.

Kurta sizing is determined by chest and shoulder. Bottom-garment fit is the most common reason men need alterations on ethnic wear, so check the waist and length measurements separately from the kurta size before ordering.

See the men's kurta size guide for full garment measurements, how to measure yourself, and length and shoulder charts by size. For large size ethnic wear for men, browse the 2XL and 3XL range.

If your measurements fall between sizes, or outside the standard chart, we make to order. See the customisation section below.

For sizing help before ordering, message us on WhatsApp at +91 8140866000.

Customisation and Made to Order

Custom sizing. Every Kun style can be made to your measurements. If you fall between our standard sizes, need a different kurta length, or have a chest-to-waist ratio that standard grading does not serve, we cut to order. Share your measurements at checkout or over WhatsApp and we make the garment to fit.

What can be customised. Kurta length, sleeve length, neckline or collar style, bottom style, dupatta or stole addition, colour changes on existing designs, and embroidery placement — share what you need and we'll confirm what's possible for your style.

Lead time. Made-to-order pieces take a few days from measurement confirmation to dispatch; ready-to-ship styles dispatch even sooner. If you are ordering against a function date, tell us the date on WhatsApp before you order and we will confirm whether we can make it.

Group and wedding-party orders. For grooms, groomsmen and family dressing in coordinated colours or matching fabrics, we take group orders across sizes from the same fabric lot, so the shades match. Write to us on WhatsApp to plan a wedding-party order.

Returns on made-to-order pieces. Made-to-order pieces are covered separately from our standard exchange policy — message us on WhatsApp for details before you order.

About Kun The Label

Kun The Label was founded by Anamika Aggarwal, who trained in fashion design at NIFD, spent twenty-five years running a home, and returned to design to build a menswear label. The name combines the German Kunst, meaning craft, with the label's own reading of ceremony and presence.

Where most Indian menswear brands are anonymous, Kun is a designer-led label producing in its own unit, offering both ready-to-ship styles and made-to-order sizing.
